At year’s end, I collect the names (name tags) of all those who have visited my kitchen over the past year to make way for those expected after the new year.
These name are not tossed away, but are a reminder of all the individual guests who I have had the pleasure of meeting (for some multiple times), cooking with, sharing a table around a delicious meal or traveling with.
After the pandemic years, in which we collected none, zero, nada, these names are precious.
I hope that these names were to able to appreciate our takeaways – even a little bit: enjoyed a night out, met a new friend, learned a new cooking trick, tasted an ingredient for the first time, or enjoyed something (prepared properly) they thought they absolutely did not like, or learned something about themselves or others (spouses, friends, colleagues)…
…AND, that cooking classes are not just about cooking, but quality, time-together, multifaceted experiences!
At Epicurean Exchange Culinary Education, this is what we do! We are not just a cooking school, but a place to engage with the community; to be inspired, to learn new skills and grow beyond your expectations!
Join us in 2023. We’ll be here for you!
