I just ordered my quarterly supply of freshly cut Sweet Bay Laurel Leaves from, La Vie Rustic, and my friend, mentor and owner, Georgeanne Brennan. Georgeanne and I met more than 25 years ago when she was visiting the Sur La Table kitchen in San Francisco for a cooking class and book signing. I have followed and envied her international-life and lifestyle for decades and am a proud owner of at least a dozen books she has authored. Before COVID, twice a year (once in the spring and once in the fall), my students and I have been blessed to have her join us in my Orinda kitchen for her extraordinary cooking classes and lunches. Working side-by-side with Georgeanne as she tells us tales of the her life in Haute Provence and the origins of her recipes is an experience that we all treasure. The food is always amazing and the community she draws is remarkable!
